Working together with coworkers on the platform

  • Updated

The platform offers a feature that allows you, as a coach, to assign colleagues who will also have access to the work of your participants—specifically, the ability to appoint a colleague coach. You can read here how to do that. But why should you make use of this feature?

Collaboration

A linked colleague coach can help you review the assignments of your participants, as well as assist in grading exams. This allows you to easily divide the work with one or more linked colleague coaches.

Preventing orphaned students

It can happen that a colleague suddenly becomes unavailable, for example, due to illness or leaving for another job. If this colleague has not linked anyone as a colleague coach, there will no longer be supervision over the participants' work. The link between coach and participant is established by the participant, and only the participant can modify this. If it’s not clearly known which participants are linked to a particular coach, it can be quite complicated to even determine how many participants are involved and who they are.

By assigning a colleague as a colleague coach, that person retains access to the work of all your linked participants within a specific course. Should it happen that you suddenly stop working with All You Can Learn for any reason, your department won’t have to figure out who your participants are and send them emails to inform them that they need to switch coaches.

How does it work?

In the introduction of this article, you’ll find a link to the article explaining how to assign a colleague coach. The linking works as follows:

  • You link colleagues per course, and they will only see your participants within the courses where you have linked them.
  • If a participant has you as a coach for multiple courses and you want a colleague to have access to all the submitted work of that participant, you’ll need to assign the same colleague as a colleague coach for each course!
  • When you link a colleague, they will see your participants. However, you will not see your colleague's participants unless they also link you. It’s a one-way connection.
  • You can link multiple colleagues as colleague coaches.
