On the platform, participants may need to submit group assignments. You can recognize group assignments by this icon:
Naturally, the number indicates how many students the assignment is intended for. This is not a strict requirement, just an indication. It doesn't affect how many group members a student must or can add before they can start the assignment.
The students create their own groups and invite each other to join. They decide among themselves whether each will submit a portion of the work or if one of them will submit the completed work on behalf of the group.
When you view a list of completed assignments (in your grading section or for a specific participant), you can see at a glance which assignments are group assignments because multiple initials are displayed. By hovering over these initials with the mouse, you can see the names of the group members.
Grading works the same as for an individual assignment; you can only enter one assessment. When you enter an assessment, it applies immediately to all participants who worked together in the group. If you reject a group assignment, all members will lose the XP they would have earned until they improve their assignment.
Make your own group assignments
If you have your own course set, you can easily add group assignments or convert existing assignments into group assignments. In the course editor, you can specify the number of participants required for an assignment in the assignment details. If you set this number higher than '1,' it automatically becomes a group assignment.
